This is another image from the Arctic Myth series I have been working on. Here the Amautalik has captured 3 children and she is going to eat them. But of course they escape in the end with the help of a magic bird.

Amautalik 2 by ~bridge-troll reminded me of all the childhood stories and fairy-tales. I immediately got captured in the amazing fantasy world of ~bridge-troll. Their work is full of amazing detail, imagination and textures that bring the painting to life and make it believable. (

Your pictures on Inuit myhtology are probably the best I have ever seen. The feeling oc Arctic summer is so precise and the figures look like you had actually seen those trolls in reality.
Your work is so impressive and detailed! Where do you learn about all these mythologies? was it just a hobby at first? or did you learn it in school? I'm very interested...
Beautiful details and colors in clothing that many artists would simply paint as a boring sheet of brown. The Amautalik's face is wonderful. Now I need to buy that book.
Only in this story :-P
