This is a book illustration from a recent project. The idea here was to create a forest setting with an emphasis on twisting trees and light filtering in from above. I quite enjoyed this one. It's watercolour on paper.

my favorite painting as a kod was hanging in our dining room, some old relative did it- it was a forest with filtered light and a path. but in it, the little girl was hiding (you couldn't see her, but i was always told she was there) i tell you this because your painting made me think of it
