Murdock by bridge-troll Murdock by bridge-troll
This is Murdock the demon from the book project I'm working on - Teeney O'Feeney King of the Leprechauns. It's a kids book so I didn't want Murdock getting too scary or nasty. In the story he is motivated by a desire to do the right thing.

This is really amazing.
The tree looks real and all these details.
And especially done in traditional media, that's purely fantastic:clap:

He's actually noticing how much trash we leave around and he's pretty upset by it.

I had the same caveat with my publisher when illustrating the chief bad guy. It took 4 or 5 attempts before I got a version that wasn't too scary :)
This little guy is a masterpiece. Just the right amount of scariness with the furrowed brows, pointy teeth and pointy nails.

there's a pretty thin margin you have to walk to get it just right - it's easy to go too far.
