Love it. The natural fattiness of your characters gets me every time. So cool. And awesome painting skills, I'm assuming it's watercolor or guache?

Your watercolors are all really lovely, not to mention the fantasy overtones most of them have.

I have a question though. What would you advise for someone who is interested in trying out watercolors?

TechnOkami

I would advise that a good way to start watercolour is with only a few colours.  Try raw umber, burnt umber, ultamarine blue and paynes grey.  Those are the colours I mostly use and you can do a lot with them if you experiment and try different combinations.  Naples Yellow is also a good colour to start figures with.  Raw umber and prussian blue will give you some really good green variations without your greens looking too strong.

Thank you for the advice. I tried Gouache painting (supplied by my Girlfriend) but it didn't really set well with me. I felt like watercolor could acquire better color tones and variations. Then again, I'm not really experienced in utilizing color in traditional media. I mostly use graphite and ink pens at the moment.
